Dan Krauser:   Coach Krauser has been coaching since 1988 at the youth,  feeder,  travel and high school levels.  Many of his players go on to play high school Varsity basketball as well as college basketball.  Highlights of some of his team include his 2002-14U/8th grade travel team winning the American Youth Basketball Tour National Championship,  his 2005-14U/8th grade travel team winning the National State Games of America in Colorado, his 2010-14U/8th grade team taking 5th in the Country at the AAU National Championships,  his 2011-15U/9th grade team taking 8th in the Country at the AAU National Championships, his 2012-16U/10th grade team winning the NCAA Certified Nike Spring Showdown in Indiana as well as taking 7th in the Country at the AAU National Championships, his 2013-17U/11th grade team taking 2nd in the Country at the AAU National Championships and his 2016 & 2017-17U/11th grade teams winning the Illinois AAU State Championship.  Coach Krauser is also the owner and founder of the World Class Basketball Association and also runs the Conant Feeder Basketball Program.

Brett Sharkey:  Coach Sharkey has just been named the Kane County Director of Basketball Operations for World Class Basketball.  Coach Sharkey joins WCBA after spending 17 years in coach and education.  He has been a special education teacher,  school administrator and has coached at the middle school and high school levels.  He has coached at Conant High School,  Schaumburg High School, Maine West High School, St. Charles East High School and St. Charles Haines Middle School.  Brett was a 3 year Varsity player at Conant High School and is their All Time Leader in assists and 3 point shots made.  He was an All Conference and All Area player including being named Mid-Suburban League Player of the Year during the 1991-1992 season and was 3rd Team All State that same season.  Brett went on to play college basketball at Rosary College.

Tim Stearns:  Coach Stearns has just been named Director of Basketball Operations for North-Arlington Heights.  Coach Stearns played at Rolling Meadows High School from 1986-1990 and went downstate his Senior year.  He has been coaching since 1994 and coached basketball, baseball, soccer and football.  He has coached AHYBA Travel Teams and started the Running Renegades Travel Program.  When he is not coaching,  he owns TJ Stearns, Inc. which is a Certified Financial Planning Firm.

W.C.B.A. COACHING STAFF

The World Class Basketball Association takes great pride in our coaching staff.  All of our coaches are American Sports Education Program Certified,  have high school coaching experience and/or have played at the college level.  The following is a list of our coaches and a brief background on each.

John Ulrich Sr.:   Coach Ulrich has over 40 years of coaching experience at the youth,  school,  travel and high school levels.  Coach Ulrich is currently in the Illinois High School Association Hall of Fame and is currently the head coach at Immanual Lutheran School in Palatine.

Brian Zyrkowski:   Coach Zyrkowski has been coaching for the World Class Basketball Program for the past 10 years.  He was a 4 year player at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates and played college basketball at Harper Junior College.  Coach Zyrkowski is currently the Head Varsity Basketball Coach at Libertyville High School.
 
Matt WalshCoach Walsh started his coaching career with Conant Feeder Basketball.  He went on to be the Head Sophomore Basketball Coach at Conant High School before becoming the Head Varsity Coach at Schaumburg High School.  Coach Walsh was an All Conference and All Area player when he played at Conant HS.  Coach Walsh is now back with WCBA.
 
Pat McCormackCoach McCormack is the son of IHSA Hall of Fame Coach Tom McCormack.  Pat was an All Conference and All Area player when he played at Conant HS.  He currently coaches in the Conant Feeder Program and is in his third season with WCBA.  Coach McCormack has coached at Conant High School and Maine West High School.
 
Donn Cropper:   Coach Cropper has extensive coaching experience at the youth and jr high levels.  He was the assistant coach for the 14U WCBA travel team that won the AYBT National Championship in 2002.

Joel Peterson:   Coach Peterson have over 15 years of coaching experience at various levels.  He was a 3 year Varsity player for Lake Benton High School in Minnesota and was named to the All Area team as a Junior and Senior.  He went on to play college basketball at Southwest State University.  
 
 
Ed Stade:   Coach Stade has over 26 years of coaching experience.  He was the head coach of St. Mary's school.  Coach Stade has also coached and ran both the Bartlett and South Elgin Feeder Programs.  Coach Stade was part of the coaching staff that won the 2005 State Games of America National Championship in Colorado.  Coach Stade is a current coach of World Class Basketball and is the WCBA Sponsorship and Fund Raising Coordinator.
 
Kyle Sertich:  Kyle played 3 years of basketball at Hoffman Estates High School.  He also has 3 years of coaching experience with the Hoffman Estates Park District.  Kyle is in his 4th year with World Class Basketball.
 
John Ulrich Jr.:  Coach Ulrich is a former player of WCBA and current Head Sophomore Basketball Coach at Hoffman Estates High School.  Coach Ulrich played 4 years of college basketball at Concordia University and was a 4 year Varsity player at Palatine High School.
 
Andy Zielinski:  Coach Zielinski has extensive coaching experience and is the current Head Varsity Coach at Westminster Christian in Elgin.
 
Adam Krauser:  Adam is the son of WCBA founder Dan Krauser and is in his second year as a coach.  Adam also played on the WCBA National Team from 2013-2016.
 
Ryan Cork:   Coach Ryan Cork is a former WCBA National Team player and is in his 2nd season with WCBA as a coach.  Ryan was an All Conference and All Area player for Hampshire High School and went on to play college basketball at Elgin Community College.
 
Nick Kubiak:  Coach Nick Kubiak is a former WCBA National Team player and is in his first season with WCBA as a coach.  Nick was a 4 year Varsity player for Woodstock High School and received a college basketball scholarship from Judson University.
